NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – The countdown is on for the Titans preseason game against the San Diego Chargers.

On Tuesday, the team was back on the field for practice at Saint Thomas Sports Park after scrimmaging at Nissan Stadium Monday night.

The scrimmage was the first chance for the Titans rookies to take to the field under the bright lights, but for veterans, it was an opportunity for them to get out and set the tempo.

And that tempo is one they hope to carry into the 2016 season.

“It was defiantly nice to be in a game atmosphere, you know. It was fun. The fans out here, we appreciate their support, so it was fun to go against the defense and have a game like atmosphere,” said running back Derrick Henry.

“We want to just come out and try and set the tempo; we talk about it all the time. It’s one thing to go out there and do it, you know,” said cornerback Jason McCourty.

“We obviously haven’t gotten the chance to play against another team, but this is the closest things we’ve had so far to a game atmosphere, so we’re trying to come together and we got to show each other that we can the job done so each and every time we step foot on this field we want to try and dominate,” he continued.

You can watch the Titans take on the Chargers this Saturday night on News 2 at 7 p.m.
