DICKSON COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) – A Ferris wheel accident in East Tennessee is bringing fear to families across the state.
On Monday night, three girls fell out of a car on the ride at the Greene County Fair, and there was no seat belt.
News 2 is now learning the same company that was at the East Tennessee fair, Family Attractions Amusement Company, is scheduled to stop in Dickson County.
For Teresa Overton, the Dickson County Fair is a time to get together with friends and family and have a good time.
“We have fun,” said Overton.
But now there are questions if this year’s fair will have all the same rides.
“I won’t be letting the grandboys go,” said Overton. “I won’t go to the same place where they had the same problems and take a chance.”
Tuesday night the Dickson County Fair Association had a regularly scheduled meeting. The president told News 2 it’s still too early to comment with the accident being under investigation.
He says once they find out more then they can decide what to do next.
As for Overton, she says if the same company brings rides to Dickson County, you won’t see her or her family riding them.
“We would probably go to the derby, the beauty pageant and some of the other events they have but no do the rides,” said Overton.
News 2 Did reach out to Family Attractions Amusement Company to find out if it will still be coming to Dickson, but the company was unavailable for comment.
