SMITHLAND, Ky. (WKRN) – A man was arrested after leading Kentucky State Police on a chase in a vehicle reportedly stolen from Tennessee on Friday.

The KSP reported 19-year-old Dakota Miller was driving a blue Toyota Avalon when troopers attempted to stop him about 30 miles from the Illinois state line.

Miller reportedly sped away from troopers, eventually running out of gas, which is when he fled from the car and into a corn field near Pisgah Road on State Route 137.

K-9 officers were called in to assist with the search, and Miller was taken into custody without incident.

He was booked into the McCracken county jail and charged with speeding, reckless driving, evading police, resisting arrest, and possession of a controlled substance, among other charges.
