Thief steals package from Antioch porch

ANTIOCH, Tenn. (WKRN) – An Antioch couple is hoping the public can help find the man who reportedly took a package off their front porch.

It happened Monday afternoon at a home on Dover Glen Drive.

With most people shopping online, more packages are being stolen from porches after they are delivered. The majority of the time, the thieves don’t know what’s inside.

The thief in Antioch took a big box of children’s school supplies in broad daylight.

The suspect was seen on surveillance video driving past the house in a silver car, then turning around.

He slowed down when he got close to the house again, then turned towards the back of the home and turned around in the cul-de-sac.

The driver pulled back up to the side of the house before he got out and took the box from the porch.

If this happens to you, you should file a claim as soon as possible. Surveillance video can make your case even stronger.

It’s also a good idea ask your neighbors to watch for your package if it’s being delivered when you aren’t going to be home.

Always require a signature on delivery and if your package is stolen, file a police report.

Anyone with information about this theft is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 615-74-CRIME.
