BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WKRN) – Police are investigating after a 39-year-old man died from his injuries sustained in a shooting in Bowling Green, Ky. Monday night.
Upon their arrival to a home on Payne Street around 10:45 p.m., a person told police a man knocked on their door yelling he had been shot.
Authorities have since determined the shooting took place nearby on Fair Street.
The victim, identified as Derek Lewis, was airlifted to TriStar Skyline Medical Center in Nashville where he later died.
Police have not yet determined a motive in the shooting, but are investigating Lewis’ death as a homicide.
