NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Metro police have arrested the second suspect wanted in the murder of a Bellevue man.

Joseph Ware was taken into custody Tuesday and will be charged in the deadly shooting of Billy Ray Plunk.

The 29-year-old was shot to death after complying to robbery demands on July 23 outside the Iroquois Apartments. He was laid to rest last Thursday.

Metro police say Ware was taken into custody by undercover detectives while in the passenger’s seat of a car in the parking of Grand Slam Market in Madison.

The 34-year-old was charged with first-degree murder.

Another man, Jamal Bekhtyar, was also indicted in the case. He was already in jail on beer theft charges when the indictment came down July 30. He also faces first-degree murder charges.
