$1K reward offered in Franklin shoplifting case

FRANKLIN, Tenn. (WKRN) – One suspect is in custody and Franklin police are offering a $1,000 reward for the arrest of another in connection to a theft at Lowe’s.

Franklin police say the two men stole $1,000 in Dewalt power tool sets from the Mallory Lane Lowe’s on July 9.

When employees attempted to stop the pair, police say one of the suspects told them to move out of the way or they would be hurt.

The suspects have been identified as Ricky Welker of Madison, Tennessee, and Wesley Prickett of Whites Creek, Tennessee. Both are convicted felons.

Welker was arrested and charged with felony theft.

He was released on $3,500 bond and is due in court on Thursday at 1 p.m.

Prickett is wanted by authorities and believed to be in the Nashville area.
