NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – The woman who chairs the board that oversees Nashville General Hospital has resigned from her position.
Mary Bufwick, chairwoman of the Metro Nashville Hospital Authority Board of Trustees, was nominated to the board in 2013 by former mayor Karl Dean.
Nashville’s current mayor, Megan Barry, said she is “very grateful” for Bufwick’s leadership and service.
“Service on Boards and Commissions can often be difficult and thankless work, and we owe public servants like Mary a debt of gratitude for seeking to make a difference in our community,” Mayor Barry continued.
Bufwick’s term was set to expire in 2018.
