3 injured after crash with semi on I-40 East in Mt. Juliet

MT. JULIET, Tenn. (WKRN) – Three people were injured Thursday after a car collided with a semi on Interstate 40 East in Mt. Juliet.

It closed several lanes of traffic for over an hour after 10:50 a.m. near South Mt. Juliet Road.

News 2 learned three people inside the car were transported to a nearby hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The driver of the semi was not hurt.

The circumstances of the crash have been released at this time. The roadway has since reopened.
