NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — One in five children in Middle Tennessee goes to bed hungry every night. That means that’s one in five children in your child’s classroom!

Hunger affects a child’s health, how they perform in school, even their self-esteem.

For more than 35 years News 2’s Food 2 Families has been benefiting Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee has been providing much needed food for families.

58 local schools school had from August 25 to October 31 to collect donations as part of the News 2 Food 2 Families drive.
