Ky. officer finds body on side of road; Homicide investigation underway

OAK GROVE, Ky. (WKRN) – A homicide investigation is underway after a police officer in Kentucky found a body on the side of a road Wednesday.

The Kentucky State Police said the victim, a black male, was found several feet off Carter Road in a wooded area.

According to a press release, the officer was on patrol and noticed a strong odor. That’s when he happened upon the unidentified body.

Positive identification is now pending an examination of DNA or dental records.

Further details have not been released and the investigation is ongoing.
