NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Dozens were evacuated from Opryland Hotel early Sunday morning when portions of the hotel filled with smoke from a kitchen fire.
It happened at the popular tourist destination around 2:30 a.m.
Firefighters told News 2 smoke filled the garden observatory, one of the atriums at the hotel, after a dishwasher motor in the hotel’s Conservatory Wine Bar caught on fire.
Hotel management evacuated two buildings near the restaurant as a precaution and opened the roof of the conservatory to help clear the smoke from the building.
Smoke did not reportedly reach any guest’s rooms. Many were allowed to return to the hotel around 3:30 a.m.
No additional information was immediately released.
