LA VERGNE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Police are searching for a man for questioning after they say he was involved in a La Vergne shooting Wednesday.
It happened just before noon near Mountain Top Trail. The victim, who suffered two gunshot wounds, drove to a nearby fire station for help.
The man was airlifted to Vanderbilt University Medical Center with a gunshot to his arm and chest.
Authorities said the man, whose name has not been released, has since undergone surgery and has non-life threatening injuries. He was last listed in stable condition.
Late Wednesday, police said they are now searching for Carzell Harris. They say the 39-year-old was allegedly involved in the shooting and he is wanted for questioning.
Police warn Harris could possibly be armed.
Harris is five feet, six inches tall and weighs around 225 pounds. He is bald, has brown eyes and gold teeth.
He was last seen driving a dark gray or black 2013 Nissan Altima with Tennessee tag number Y63-74S. The car’s front bumper cover is missing.
