American Eagle Awards held at Music City Center

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — It was the 33rd American Eagle Awards Saturday at the Music City Center in downtown Nashville.

The National Music Council teamed up with the National Association of Music Merchants to raise awareness for the importance of music education.

Each year the council honors industry professionals who made contributions to music in America.

“It was lovely knowing I was getting an award but seeing everybody, I didn’t know that Roy Clark was gonna be here. I just saw my old friend and band mate James Burton and of course I love hanging with Vince. It was kind of a family reunion in a way,” said Emmylou Harris.
