NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – A south Nashville business owner caught a trespasser red-handed early Wednesday morning.
It happened at Export Auto Sales on Nolensville Pike near Polk Avenue around 12:30 a.m.
Metro police told News 2 the owner of the business spotted a man attempting to gain entry by forcing his shoulder into the door.
He reportedly confronted the man, identified by police as Matthew Weise, who left the area only to return later to yell obscenities at him.
The owner told police that Weise never got inside the business and there was no damage to the property.
Weise told responding officers that he needed an address for a taxi cab and was attempting to get inside to ask someone for the address.
There was a witness on scene at the time of the incident that stated the same story as the owner.
Weise is charged with misdemeanor criminal trespassing. No additional information was released.
