Police: Antioch man injured after crashing stolen motorcycle in Clarksville

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – A man who stole a motorcycle was seriously injured in a crash in Clarksville Thursday night.

It happened near the intersection of Peachers Mill Road and Taft Drive at 6:07 p.m.

Authorities say 28-year-old Aelix Santiago has stolen the motorcycle from the parking lot of a Hooter’s located at 750 N. Riverside Drive.

The motorcycle collided with a 2005 Kia Optima. Witnesses told officers the motorcycle was traveling in the continuous left turn lane while passing other vehicles.

The motorcycle went into the southbound on-coming travel lane where the crash occurred.

Santiago was ejected from the motorcycle and was transported by LifeFlight to Vanderbilt University Medical Center. His current condition is unknown.
