Station Camp coach in remission after battling cancer

GALLATIN, Tenn. (WKRN) – The girl’s basketball coach at Station Camp High School has returned to the court after a battle with cancer.

News 2 learned Kendra Jackson received word this past week she is officially in remission.

Jackson was diagnosed with folliculotropic mycosis fungoides lymphoma, a rare form of the disease, last year.

She received a stem cell transplant in June and her sister was the donor. She spent months in the hospital afterward and has been recovering and receiving treatment ever since.

Jackson’s players and community rallied around her through her journey, creating a Facebook page titled “No One Fights Alone” to support her.
