NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Titans players, staff, and cheerleaders got together on Tuesday to help local moms and babies in need.
News 2 was there for the Titan Up for Tots Baby Shower at St. Thomas Sports Park.
The team put together baby bags filled with diapers, wipes, onesies and blankets.
We spoke to Titans player Jason McCourty, who has two kids of his own, about what this event means to him.
“Being able to serve people in our community here in Nashville, at-risk mothers who have just had kids and such a special time—a time for celebration—and to be able to bless them with these baby bags, for them to know we care and took time to get out and do this type of thing, that’s a great feeling,” McCourty told News 2.
The baby bags will be delivered to United Way Family Resource Centers and distributed to more than 1,500 at-risk mothers and their babies in Nashville.
