SMYRNA, Tenn. (WKRN) – The Tennessee Highway Patrol has released the names of four people who were killed in a crash on Interstate 24 last weekend.
The driver was 30-year-old Marcus Dodd and his front passenger was identified as 38-year-old Lashawn Booker.
Officials say the passengers in the backseat were Duan Brown, 29, and Raymond Greer, Jr, also 29.
The victims, who were all from the Nashville area, died in an accident on Saturday, May 28.
According to the THP, the group was traveling on I-24 West around 5:45 a.m. in a 2009 Dodge Charger when they ran off the road to the left, striking a sign and a concrete wall.
The car then overturned in the eastbound lanes of I-24 before catching fire. The road was closed for several hours while officials investigated the crash.
No other details about the accident were released.
