Travelers warned to arrive at airports early following holiday weekend

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — The Transportation Security Administration says Tuesday morning will be one of the busiest times for Memorial Day weekend travel, and they are asking everyone to get there at least two hours early.

There are at least twenty flights scheduled in the 6 a.m. hour, and about 20,000 passengers will pass through the airport with people flying out for business and those heading home after the holiday weekend. Click here to view flight times.

The TSA says it’s in the process of hiring nearing 800 new officers nationwide, Nashville airport will be getting some of those new hires throughout the summer.
