1 injured after cars found on opposite sides of I-40

MT. JULIET, Tenn. (WKRN) – Police cleared a wreck in Mt. Juliet Monday morning, after finding two cars on opposite sides of Interstate 40.

Mt. Juliet police told News 2 they found one vehicle blocking a left lane of westbound I-40 near mile marker 223 and a second vehicle in the tree line on the right side of the interstate.

One person was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, hurt while in the car along the tree line.

Officers arrested the driver of the car along the inside lane, suspected of DUI.

Officers believe he was also the driver that caused the wreck.

No additional details were immediately released.
