Ceremony held at Nashville National Cemetery Monday

MADISON, Tenn. (WKRN) – Veterans and fallen U.S. heroes were honored at a ceremony at the Nashville National Cemetery on Monday’s Memorial Day holiday.

Music began at 1 p.m.

The audience heard from Col. John Krenson of Operation Stand Down as a guest speaker at 2 p.m.

A reception was held at American Legion Post 82 on Gallatin Road in Inglewood.

Also at the cemetery is a replica of the Vietnam Memorial Wall in Washington, D.C. The wall will be on display at the Nashville National Cemetery all day Monday.

The wall has the names of all soldiers killed in the Vietnam War inscribed. A website that details where each name is inscribed can be found by clicking here.

The cemetery is open daily during daylight hours.
