3 in custody after officer spots car from recent armed robbery

HERMITAGE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Three people are in custody after police officers spotted a car from a previous armed robberies.

Officers pursued the car. While on Briley Parkway, police said one of the suspects threw a gun from the window. The weapon has since been recovered.

The pursuit continued onto Gallatin Pike and other nearby roads until the suspect struck a curb while attempting to turn onto Duling Avenue.

The car’s front tire blew and all three suspects got out and fled.

Police said two of the three suspects then surrendered about 20 feet from the crashed car, while the other went across the street before surrendering.

No shots were fired and no one was injured in the pursuit.

The suspects’ identities or charges were not immediately released.
