HERMITAGE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Three burglary suspects are in custody Monday after a dramatic chase up Briley Parkway near Opry Mills.

Police tried to pull the car over, but the suspects did not stop.

A passenger threw an assault rifle out the vehicle’s window, according to police.

“The vehicle then got off on Gallatin Road, a short time later, after going through the back streets, the vehicle attempted to make a turn here behind me, struck a curb, and blew a tire,” said Sgt. James Hamlet with Metro police.

The three people in the car tried to run off, but eventually surrendered to police.

Authorities have not released their names and charges are pending at this time.
