NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – A 58-year-old man was shot and killed Thursday night in South Nashville.
Metro police told News 2 they received a call about a stabbing on Plus Park Boulevard near Murfreesboro Pike shortly before 9:30 p.m.
An investigation showed the suspect, who has yet to be identified, got out of a gold car and confronted the victim, Vicente Rodriguez.
Authorities said a struggle ensued and Rodriguez was shot. He died at the scene.
A motive was not immediately known.
The suspect is a black man who appears to be in his mid-30s. He is about 5 feet 6 inches tall and had on a tan jacket.
Police said the gold car he was driving has damage to the driver’s side and front end. It is possibly a Honda Civic or Nissan Sentra.
