North Nashville home destroyed by fire

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – A north Nashville home was destroyed by fire early Thursday morning.

It happened in the 2200 block of 24th Avenue North around 4:30 a.m.

No one was inside the home at the time the fire began. Neighbors saw the flames and called 911.

The Nashville Electric Service was called to the home to shut off power to the residence.

Flames were shooting out of the front door when firefighters arrived to the home.

The cause of the fire is considered suspicious and is under investigation, according to Nashville Fire Department Public Information Officer Brian Haas.
