NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WRKN) – Smyrna native Jalen Ramsey and first-round draft pick for the Jacksonville Jaguars sustained a small tear to the meniscus in his right knee.
According to the team, the former Brentwood Academy star was hurt during phase two of on-field workouts.
The team says he plans to get a second opinion next week. There’s no word at this time if surgery is needed.
This is the second year in a row the Jaguars have lost a Top 5 pick very early. Last year, they took Florida linebacker Dante Fowler fourth overall, and he tore his ACL at his very first rookie practice and missed the season.
