Student shot, wounded in South Carolina high school cafeteria

GREENVILLE, Tenn. (CNN) — Authorities say a boy accidentally shot himself Friday morning at a South Carolina high school.

According to students, the boy had the gun either in a pocket or a backpack when it went off at Southside High School in Greenville County.

They said the boy and his brother ran toward the restroom and the wounded boy fell down.
A school official said the injured student was conscious and talking when he was taken to the hospital.

Law enforcement cleared the entire campus.

Officials said the incident was isolated and there are no additional threats.
