NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – A Hermitage caregiver has been charged with murdering a developmentally disabled man.
David Wiltz, 52, was taken into custody by Metro police Friday night.
According to agents with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation’s Medicaid Fraud Control Unit, Wiltz had a hand in the death of 30-year-old Weekly Sainvil.
Sainvil was transported to a hospital on October 28, 2015, where he was pronounced dead moments after he arrived.
His death was later ruled a homicide after officials learned that he died from blunt force neck injuries.
Authorities say their investigation showed that Wiltz, who worked for Restoration Residential Services, was responsible for Sainvil’s death.
On May 9, the Davidson County Grand Jury returned an indictment charging Wiltz with one count of second degree murder.
He was booked into the Metro jail Friday on $25,000 bond.
