Bicyclists begin 3-day, 250 mile journey for fallen officers

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – A group of bicyclists are headed to Virginia to raise money for the families of fallen police officers.

The group of nine officers or former officers make up the team who will bike 250 miles over three days.

The team will gather in Virginia with other bicyclists from around the nation in Bikers for LEU (Law Enforcement United).

The ride concludes at the Pentagon with a vigil of remembrance for fallen officers.

The ride raises money for surviving family of police officers killed in the line of duty.
