NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Plenty of Nashville Predators fans are still celebrating the team’s triple-overtime win last night.
And there’s one group of young students in Franklin that really knows how to show their team spirit.
Thursday happened to be shark dissection day at St. Matthew Catholic School. The kids not only got to wear their Preds gear to school but also dissected a real shark.
While it seems perfectly fitting since the Preds are playing against the San Jose Sharks, the principal tells us it was all a big coincidence.
“I wish I could say I had the foresight to go ahead and know that San Jose was going to go ahead and be in the second round with the Predators,” said Principal Tim Forbes. “I would’ve won a lot of money in Vegas.
“However, it worked out that we had a shark and used that as an opportunity to promote Preds Day and educate our students,” Forbes added.
