NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – The Nashville Predators Foundation distributed more than 100 grants across the community Tuesday totaling more than $450,770.

Upon reviewing more than 280 grant applications, 113 organizations were selected to receive the grant money. The selected organizations all primarily benefit youth and families.

This year’s total amount is the largest-one time donation in the foundation’s history that benefits community service and charitable organizations.

Since its inception in 1998, the Preds Foundation has awarded more than $4 million in financial grants to Nashville and Middle Tennessee organizations.

The foundation was able to put back more than $1 million into the community during the 2015-2016 season with player ticket programs and fundraising efforts.
