OAK HILL, Tenn. (WKRN) – A Metro police van collided with a deer Tuesday morning, forcing crews to close a lane of traffic while they took notes on the incident.

The warrant van was traveling down Franklin Pike near Old Hickory Boulevard in the Oak Hill area when the driver says a deer jumped in front.

The van wasn’t carrying any prisoners.

No one was hurt, and police determined the van was able be driven off.

Officers closed a lane of traffic for about a half-hour while they investigated the case.
