Looking for a new pet? Check out Nashville’s News 2’s “Pet of the Week” segment every Tuesday on News 2 This Morning. Below are this week’s featured pets:

ID: A127138
Name: Edna
Breed: beagle
Gender: female
Age: 10 yrs.

They say you can’t reach an old dog new tricks but I say senior dogs rock! In my case, it’s more of a soft rock, but who needs all that noise anyway? My name is Edna and as you can say I’m a beagle who’s seen some things in my time. A lady doesn’t reveal her true age, but the staff at MACC thinks I’m about 10 years old. I can tell you that I’m very mellow and laid-back and want to find a nice home with people who really just want a love bug. I’ve been with a foster family who has taken great care of me; they’ve helped me work through some skin issues and say I can get around pretty well for a senior gal. I follow them around the house as long as the sun’s up; I turn in around 8 at night so I can rest up and be ready to go the next day!

Old friends make the best friends and I’m ready to be friends with you. I don’t bark, I love other dogs and I even like cats! Give MACC a call and let them know you want to meet me. Once I put my head on your lap and you look into these big brown eyes, I know  I’ll be yours!

ID: A127654
Name: Blue
Breed: pit bull
Gender: female
Age: 2 yrs.

Hey, I’m Blue, too! There seem to be a few Blues here and I don’t have a clue why. My previous family brought me here when they could no longer care for me and I’m just waiting for my next great home. I need a family that can keep me busy; I’m a very friendly and active guy who loves to play. I have a touch of separation anxiety and like to chew so a good supply of chew toys and treats would be a real good idea.

I’d love to have a big yard to run around in. I’ve been known to jump a fence, though, so you should probably keep an eye on me to make sure I don’t try to escape. Sometimes the need to explore is just overwhelming, but I’m sure the right family who has time to run and play with me will be able to help me settle down. Are you up for the challenge? Come visit me at MACC and find out!

ID: A128172
Name: Titan
Breed: pit bull
Gender: male
Age: 2 yrs.

What a sweet and curious boy I am! Full of enthusiasm and super friendly, I am all about making new friends. Once I connect with you, I’m is eager to please and want all of your scratches, cuddles and praise. On my walks I can’t wait to explore every new scent, flower and rock.  A backyard in which to expore and play would make me a happy boy. If you are looking for a cuddler on the couch or a partner to run with, I’m your dog!

ID: A128904
Name: Lucky
Breed: pit bull
Gender: male
Age: 2 yrs

If you’re looking for a new best friend, this may be your Lucky day! Yep, Lucky’s my name and odds are we’d make a great team. My previous owner had to move and couldn’t take me along so the awesome staff and volunteers here at MACC are helping me find my perfect match. I had to have a little surgery when I got here but now I’m all healed and ready for a new home.

I’m a playful fella but I’m also a little on the shy side so I like to be by your side. I’d love a fenced-in yard where we could play but it’s not a good idea to leave me out there unattended because I’ve been known to scale a five-foot fence! I’m house-trained so it’s better to just bring me inside so I don’t try to make a great escape.

ID: A127974
Name: Toby
Breed: lab/beagle mix
Gender: male
Age: 4 yrs.

My name is Toby and I’m awesome. My previous owners had to bring me to the shelter because they couldn’t afford to remove the growth on my neck. The vet staff here at MACC were able to take care of it and now I am feeling good as new. You will never find a dog happier and just the most excited when you get home every day. I love to run around for a short while but after that I literally can’t wait to Netflix and chill. All I really want is a human best friend to share all my days with. I am kennel trained which is awesome because I will keep your house nice and clean. I have spent time with other dogs and I like them just find. If I sound like the right little guy for you please come on down to MACC and meet me today!!
