NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – A driver Tuesday morning crashed into the front of an ambulance near Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
Just before 12:30 a.m. a woman said she didn’t hear the sirens of a Lawrence County ambulance before hitting the front-driver’s side near Blakemore Avenue and 21st Avenue South.
The patient in the back of the ambulance did not sustain further injuries from the crash.
One of the two medics tending to the patient was taken to the hospital as a precaution. The driver of the car was not injured.
Authorities from Lawrence County told News 2 the ambulance would be out of commission for Tuesday.
Police have not announced any charges.
