RUTHERFORD COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) – LifeFlight was called to State Route 840 after two motorcycles crashed Saturday.
The accident happened at 4:30 p.m. at mile marker 46, which is near Almaville.
According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, a 49-year-old woman riding a Suzuki motorcycle was traveling east on State Route 840 when her tire locked up and the bike started to skid.
A 55-year-old man was traveling on a Kawasaki motorcycle behind her.
The two collided and came to a stop on the right shoulder of the road.
Both motorcyclists were injured and LifeFlight was called to the scene. Watch the video below.
Officials say neither alcohol nor drugs played a role in the crash.
