JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (WKRN) – A 59-year-old man from Bristol,Tennessee, has been charged with child rape.
David St. John turned himself in to police Thursday.
Agents with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation started investigating him after they received a complaint that two minors had been sexually assaulted.
During their investigation, authorities say they learned that St. John had sexual contact with two victims between April 18 and 19. Both were under the age of 13.
On Tuesday, the Sullivan County Grand Jury returned indictments charging St. John with three counts of rape of a child and six counts of aggravated sexual battery.
Upon turning himself in to authorities Thursday afternoon, he was booked into the Sullivan County Jail on $100,000 bond.
