NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – The Nashville Sounds announced Friday their General Manager and Chief Operating Officer Garry Arthur is retiring.
Arthur’s retirement is effective immediately.
He has overseen all day-to-operations of the club since taking over the positions in January 2015. Prior to that, he was a senior team advisor for more than five years.
“I’ve been with four teams during my lengthy career in baseball and this experience has been the best,” said Arthur. “Frank Ward’s ownership has allowed me to have input into First Tennessee Park, which I’m immensely proud of. “
Arthur said he looks forward to spending more time with his family in his native Vancouver
Until a replacement is named, Sounds owner Frank Ward will take over the day-to-day operations of the team.
