2 utility workers struck by hit-and-run driver in Hickman County; Suspect arrested

CENTERVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Two utility workers were injured, one of them seriously, after they were struck by a hit-and-run driver in Centerville Tuesday afternoon.

It happened on Highway 100 near the Pink Cadillac Drive In.

The Hickman County Sheriff’s Office reported one of the victims was airlifted to Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

Witnesses were able to provide a description and license plate number of the suspect’s vehicle.

Deputies and detectives located the suspect, identified as 60-year-old Mark Hadden, of Centerville.

Hadden was charged with leaving the scene of an accident, driving under the influence, violation of implied consent and four counts of aggravated vehicular assault.

He was booked into the Hickman County jail and is being held on a $48,000 bond.

No additional information was immediately released.
