COFFEE COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) – A Coffee County man faces first-degree murder charges after deputies say they found a body in his yard.
According to the sheriff’s department, authorities were called to the 900 block of A Street in Hillsboro, Tennessee, on Wednesday.
Deputies met the resident, Vincent Elliott Jr., who consented to a search of his property. That’s when the body of a white man in his mid-to-late 40s was found outside.
Elliott allegedly admitted to shooting the victim, whose name has not been released, after an argument about his dog.
He was arrested and jailed without bond on one count of first-degree murder.
