Reports: Bryce Drew to take head coach position at Vanderbilt

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Numerous media reports state Bryce Drew will replace Kevin Stallings as the next head coach at Vanderbilt University.

News 2 was told Friday that Bryce Drew was the lead candidate to fill the position vacated by Stallings as he heads to Pittsburgh.

Sports Illustrated and ESPN are both reporting that an agreement is in the works between Drew and Vanderbilt.

Drew became the head coach at Valparaiso in 2011 after serving as an assistant.

In 5 years he has a 124-48 record with two tournament appearances.

He is a former first round NBA draft pick.

Vanderbilt University has yet to confirm the agreement.
