LEBANON, Tenn. (WKRN) – Six apartments were damaged by a fire at the Cole Manor Apartments in Lebanon Monday afternoon.
Assistant Fire Chief Jason Baird said the firefighters arrived within minutes after the blaze broke out at 4 p.m.
Two upstairs apartments had the most damage from the fire, smoke and water. The other apartments vacated due to smoke and because the electricity was turned off.
A family bird in a downstairs apartment died, but no other deaths or injuries were reported.
The fire remains under investigation, although it appears it started on the back side of the building where the most damage occurred.
Authorities said despite the damage most people were able to salvage a lot of their belongings.
