Man arrested after weekend robbery, shooting at East Nashville home

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – A man was arrested Wednesday after another man was shot two times during a robbery at an east Nashville home early Sunday morning.

Police told News 2 two men knocked on the door of a home on Jones Avenue around 1 a.m. and the victim let them inside.

According to an affidavit, 22-year-old William Greer and a second suspect knew the victim and threatened to shoot him along with his girlfriend and infant daughter.

After the victim was shot, police say he handed his money over and the two men left.

The victim was transported to TriStar Skyline Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

Greer was arrested Wednesday booked into the Metro jail on two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and aggravated robbery. His bond was set at $200,000.
