NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Metro police say the same men and getaway vehicle appear to be involved in two robberies and one attempted robbery at Nashville-area Walgreens.

According to a press release, the attempted happened Wednesday night at the 1081 Murfreesboro Pike location at 9:50 p.m.

A white man wearing a blue Nirvana T-shirt with a smiley face reportedly approached the clerk with his hand in his pocket, said he had a gun, and demanded money.

Police say the clerk did not believe he was armed and refused to give up any cash. The robber then walked out of the store empty handed.

Authorities said the man also talked to a black man in a purple T-shirt while inside the store before they both left in an older-model white sedan without hub caps. The car also has damage to its passenger side.

Less than an hour later, Metro police say the same two men are believed to have gone to the Walgreens at 5600 Charlotte Pike where the white man allegedly threatened to kill everyone inside the store if the clerk didn’t give money. He also demanded Marlboro cigarettes.

The clerk complied and the alleged robber fled in the same white car driven by a black man, according to a report.

And early Thursday morning at 7:35 a.m., Metro police reported the white man went inside the Walgreens at 4201 Nolensville Pike and told employees he was armed.

The man allegedly demanded the cash register be opened before fleeing to the white car in the parking lot.
