Homeless man injured after falling from cliff overlooking river

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – A man who lives at a homeless camp that overlooks the Cumberland River was seriously injured after falling Wednesday morning.

Nashville Fire Department spokesman Brian Haas told News 2 the man, whose identity was not immediately released, suffered serious injuries.

The fire department used a boat to rescue the man from the river bank. He was then transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center for treatment.

His condition was not immediately known.
