11 families displaced after fire rips through Tullahoma apartment

TULLAHOMA, Tenn. (WKRN) – Eleven families are displaced after a fire ripped through a Tullahoma apartment building Tuesday.

It happened at Country Club apartments located in the 400 block of College Street around 4:15 p.m.

The 16 unit complex sustained extensive smoke and fire damage in two units. Officials said the fire appears to have originated near the heating and air unit before traveling inside the walls to the upstairs apartments.

An exact cause of the fire has not yet been determined.

No injuries were reported.

The American Red Cross is assisting the displaced families.

Personnel from Coffee County EMS, the Manchester Fire Department, AEDC Fire Department and the Tullahoma Utilities Board all responded to the scene.
