Traffic stop leads to 103 pound drug seizure

Hopkinsville, Kent. (WKRN) – Authorities in Christian County, Kent. announced an arrest that netted an estimated $450,000 in marijuana.

Hopkinsville Police stopped a car on Interstate 24 near miles marker 71 which they claim possessed more than 100 pounds of marijuana.

A K9 unit was on the scene of the traffic stop, and led officers to seize 103 pounds of drug.

Police arrested 54-year-old Shirley Humphrey of Nortonville, Kent.

She will face Marijuana Trafficking, Speeding, and Possession of an Open Container of Alcohol charges.
