NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – The 90s rock band The Wallflowers were announced as the headliners of this year’s concert series after the annual St. Jude Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon.
The band takes the stage at Bridgestone Arena at 7 p.m. on Saturday, April 30. Tickets are $35 and open to the public, not just those running the race.
The musically-themed road race attracts more than 30,000 runners and walkers who will take on the 26.2, 13.1-mile and 5K courses, while passing many of Nashville’s best live bands performing along the route.
“With more than 30,000 runners this year, the St. Jude Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon & 1/2 Marathon is a marquee event in the Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon series,” said Kevin Buffalino, Event Director. “It’s the first year as Rock ‘n’ Roll, and we are thrilled that The Wallflowers will perform at this year’s post-race concert to celebrate all of the musical genres that Nashville is known for. We are excited that so many participants return year after year to experience the event and run Music City.”
Tickets to the Wallflowers’ show can be purchased at the Bridgestone Arena box office, TicketMaster charge-by-phone at 1-800-745-3000 or TicketMaster.com.
