DAVIDSON COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) – The Davidson County Sheriff’s Office will offer sober rides this St. Patrick’s Day.

Pick-up locations for the rides will be at Second Avenue and Broadway as well as Demonbreun at the roundabout between 9 p.m. and 1 a.m.

“Anyone who has had too much to drink should go to one of our two pick-up locations for a ride. No questions asked,” Sheriff Daron Hall said. “Making the decision to choose a sober ride, whether it’s our program, a cab, or a designated driver, is much better than ending up in our jail or worse – causing a crash resulting in someone’s death.”

In 2015, 50 volunteers gave up their time to make sure the streets of Nashville were safe and took about 300 people home.
