NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Police announced the arrest Monday of a man accused of a violent robbery in December.
Racardo Spencer, 30, will face aggravated robbery and aggravated kidnapping charges for his role in a December 2 incident in northwest Nashville.
A statement from the victim states the woman left the Obama Market Convenience Store near 40th Avenue North and Indiana Avenue, when she noticed a man hiding in her front passenger seat.
Her statement to police said the man told her to drive and demanded her money once she stopped behind a nearby apartment complex.
When she told the man she only had $15 he allegedly assaulted her, causing severe swelling and bruising on her face.
The woman’s statement then said the man got out of the vehicle and walked off.
The victim asked a witness if they knew the man, who reportedly told her it was Spencer.
After driving home the victim called police to report the crime.
Police said she was able to quickly pick Spencer from a photo lineup.
Records from the Metro Nashville & Davidson County Court Clerk show Spencer has faced drug, gambling, and weapons charges in the past.
